Zipper Insights – the re-closable solution for pouches and bags

First invented in the early 50’s, designs were originally patented by Danish inventor Borg Madsen, who had developed a plastic slider to seal two interlocking groves. These patents were later acquired by Flexigrip company. And with the aid of a license from a Japanese company called Seisan Nihon Sha (they had figured out a way to incorporate the zipper into the bag itself therefore cutting production costs). This was further developed and re-manufactured into the press and seal type zipper we see today.
